Gävle municipality has a central pool of childcare workers employed by the staffing and recruitment unit that covers short-term absences at our various preschools.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of a childcare worker means that you, together with your colleagues, contribute to the education at the preschool. In the childcare worker pool, you will work with general tasks within the preschool, and during a week, the work may be carried out at several different preschools. The position involves varied and stimulating work where you meet many different children, staff, and work groups. All employees in the childcare worker pool contribute to creating a positive and developing environment for all children in the municipality's preschools.

Working in the childcare worker pool means that you meet the preschools' need for short-term substitutes. The job requires great flexibility as you often receive your exact working hours and workplace on the same day you are to work. You need to be prepared to travel to preschools throughout Gävle municipality.

The positions are for two temporary contracts between the periods 260112-260618 and 260112-261218.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has completed a high school diploma and is trained as a childcare worker. You should be well acquainted with the preschool curriculum and other governing documents used within preschool operations, as well as having knowledge of and experience with digital tools. Good language and communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, are required for the position. You should be easily understood and able to adapt your language to different situations and target groups. Furthermore, you have experience with low-arousal responses. It is also an advantage if you have knowledge of TAKK/AKK as we work with signs to support early communicative behavior, as well as experience working with children with various disabilities. A driver's license is also an advantage for the position.

As a person, you inspire trust and create confidence. You have the ability to spread calm and stability. It is crucial for the position that you can express yourself clearly and concretely and that you have the ability to find solutions to emerging problems while adapting to different situations. Furthermore, you have an unpretentious approach in your collaboration with colleagues, citizens, and stakeholders. You can also change your perspective and see opportunities in changes.

You must be able to present a criminal record from the police for work within schools or preschools.
